Rebecca is a design-researcher whose graduate studies focus on family-centered technologies and policies. She is particularly committed to qualitative and participatory design methods for more diverse and inclusive designs. Most recently she led a nationwide, NSF-funded study on families use of technologies during COVID-19 using the Asynchronous Remote Communities (ARC) method. Rebecca is a UX Research intern at Facebook (Summer 2021).
Prior to attending graduate school, she was a Project Manager and Design Researcher at the Engagement Lab at Emerson College, working on civic media technology and research. In 2018, she managed the Make the Breast Pump Not Suck Hackathon at the MIT Media Lab. which fostered interdisciplinary collaboration for equity-driven postpartum healthcare in the United States. In her free time, she enjoys making stained glass and visiting as many national parks as possible.
